In the wake of a post-COVID world, the notion of a truly livable city has undergone a profound transformation. As I reflect on my recent journeys through Australia and across the Asia-Pacific region, one thing has become abundantly clear: the built environment possesses immense potential to support a society that has emerged from the throes of a global crisis.
The Pan-Pacific markets are currently abuzz with ambition and investment, particularly in sectors such as residential living, green infrastructure, logistics, life sciences, education, and cultural and entertainment assets. These endeavors represent a new wave of capital deployment that prioritizes both people and their surroundings. London, it seems, shares these aspirations in earnest.
What excites me most about my new role at the helm of Opportunity London is the opportunity to unite our great Capital City with an ever-growing cohort of Team London partners. Together, we aim to showcase a pipeline of global investment opportunities that align with the vision of creating a low carbon, equitable, and truly livable city—an ambition shared by all of us.
However, it is essential to acknowledge that the billions of dollars seeking investment in London also have choices, and we must not take our privileged position for granted.

The city is a global leader in talent and innovation, boasting some of the world's finest universities. Recent data from JLL reaffirms our position as the greenest capital city in Europe. Still, we must not rest on our laurels.
London's enduring appeal, coupled with its high levels of liquidity and transparency, consistently make it one of the most sought-after destinations for global capital. In 2022, the UK was the second most traded global real estate market, with transaction volumes exceeding £67 billion, of which over £20 billion poured into London alone. Our favorable pricing, combined with a history of robust price and rental growth, is further enhanced by the current currency advantage of the pound against the dollar. At Opportunity London, our foremost priority is channeling this investment appetite toward areas of our city that are in need, spanning real estate, regeneration, infrastructure, and energy.
Over the past two decades, inward investment has catalyzed transformative projects throughout our city.
